About Jennifer

Jennifer Strickland is a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, AND published author, speaker, and former international model. She is married to her best friend Shane, who she affectionately calls "the Cowboy." The Stricklands reside in Dallas - Fort Worth with their three precious children, where they stay busy with football, cheerleading, and ranching. Jen loves to curl up with a cup of coffee, journal, and Bible -- the three ingredients to her inspirational messages on faith, beauty, and all the ways God makes us "More."

As a speaker, Jen draws upon her career as a former professional model to help women and girls find their beauty, value, identity, and purpose. Unveiling the media's lies about women's worth, Jen deposits true value in her listeners. She speaks on college, high school, and junior high campuses (public and private); at recovery centers, women's prisons, sororities, and at womens' and girls' events. She also shares her experiences at writing, speaking, and leadership conferences.

Jen is a gifted communicater. Her latest book, 21 Myths (Even Good) Girls Believe About Sex, explores the topic of sexual integrity, forgiveness, healing, and the beauty of sex in the freedom of marriage. She penned her life's message on idenity, worth, and purpose in her Beautiful Lies book, study, and leader kit for women eighteen & up; the teen version More Beautiful Than You Know, and pre-teen Pretty From the Inside Out. Jen's incredilbe personal story of transformation is found in her page-turning book, Girl Perfect, which includes a Study Guide, teaching DVD, and Documentary. This series is based upon her journey as a professional model and follow the battles she waged to find the real meaning of beauty,

Jen modeled from eight years-old to twenty-two. At the height of her career, she walked the runway for Giorgio Armani; appeared in Vogue, Glamour, Seventeen, and Cosmopolitan; and did campaigns for Oil of Olay, Converse, Mercedes Benz, Eddie Bauer and Jordache. She even appeared as Barbie for the 35th anniversary of the doll in Europe -- but don't hate for that! Because she battled an eating disorder, depression, and her heart hit rock bottom. In Europe, some people invited her to church and she began reading the Bible for the first time. In those tattered pages, she found a relationship with God who valued her more than she ever imagined. His love gave her the courage to leave a modeling and go back to school, where she earned a Master's degree in Writing in hopes of publishing her story.

Today Jen's passion meets her purpose -- through writing and speaking, she communicates the inherent value of every person, no matter their appearance, social media popularity, background or beliefs. The best thing is, she gets to do all this while being a dedicated mom to their three children.  Most of the time you'll find her in the kitchen cooking her famous spaghetti, hosting sleepovers for her daughter and her friends, chasing their little boy around the park, or finding time with their precious middle son. Whether they are working on the ranch or she is writing, Jen remains hopelessly in love with the Cowboy.
